* There are 4 routes to enter Machu Picchu, that is, 4 different ways to tour the citadel and where you can see it in different ways. It is a choice that you will have to make, so we will tell you all the details of each one.

* If you wish to visit 2 or more circuits then you will have to purchase more than one ticket, remember that re-entry to Machu Picchu is not allowed once you have left the citadel, nor are tickets to Machu Picchu sold at the gate. entry.

Entrance Llaqta Machu Picchu (Citadel)

Also known as the Machu Picchu Solo entry, it is the one that you can visit with the first ticket. Although you have the option to choose any circuit with this ticket, it is the only one with which you can enter circuit 1 or 2, in addition to being the most recommended for people who visit Machu Picchu for the first time.

Llaqta Machu Picchu (Archaeological Zone) with this ticket you can visit the Temple of the Sun, the Sacred Plaza, the Temple of the 3 Windows, the Intihuatana, the Sacred Rock and the Temple of the Condor. You can also take short walks to the Intipunku (Puerta del Sol).

Circuit 1

It allows you to tour the upper and lower part of the archaeological site. You will be able to see constructions such as: the Dry Moat, the Viewpoint of the Temple of the Sun, Granite Chaos, the Set of Water Mirrors, the Plaza de Pisonay and the Archaeological Reserve. The tour lasts approximately 2 hours.

Circuit 2

It is like the extension of the previous tour, but with many more things to observe. In addition to what is mentioned in circuit 1, you will be able to see: the Temple Square, the Sacred Rock, the Twelve Openings, the Oriental Qolcas, the Intiwatana Pyramid (from 07:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.) and the Temple of the Condor (from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.). You will also have the possibility of taking the optional route of the Inca Bridge.

Circuit 2

In both circuits (1 and 2) you have the possibility of optionally visiting the Sun Gate (Intipunku), but you may want to confirm this with your travel agency beforehand. Of course, you can take the famous classic photo of Machu Picchu in any of the two circuits.

This entrance is recommended for people who like to walk, since you will enter Machu Picchu twice.

Circuit 3

On the first tour you will climb the Machu Picchu mountain, with an approximate time of 2 hours and where you can take a photo. Going down, you have the possibility to take the classic photo. To complete the route, you must exit and re-enter through the lower part. The attractions that you will be able to observe are the following: the Qolcas, the Agricultural Zone, the Water Canal, the Dry Moat, the Temple of the Sun Complex, the House of the Inka Complex, the Water Fountains, the Water Mirror Complex, the Plaza Pisonay and the Archaeological Reserve.

Entrance Machu Picchu – Huayna Picchu

It is the ticket that sells out the fastest and the one designed for extreme adventurers. You will be able to hike to the top of the Huayna Picchu mountain, since this tour includes circuit 4.

Circuit 4

You will start the tour in the lower part, what is known as the urban sector, and in it you will be able to appreciate the attractions of circuit 3 and additionally the following: the Oriental Qolcas, the Sacred Rock, the Twelve Openings and the Temple of the Condor (of 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.).

On this tour you will enter from the bottom to reach the summit of Huchuy Picchu, located next to Huayna Picchu. It is a new route, recently opened by the Ministry of Culture of Peru, designed for lovers of hiking.

Like the Huayna Picchu entrance, this Huchuy Picchu entrance shares the same circuit and checkpoint as it. The circuit has an approximate travel time of 2 hours and a half. Remember that in both routes you will not be able to have the classic photo with the citadel, but you can with the respective mountains.
