The city of Cusco has a rich history dating back more than 5,000 years, when the first settlers arrived in this fertile valley, where the climate, water, and mountains are protective and great sources of life. Thus, every tourist who visits Cusco for the first time feels the wonderful energy of the Apus (sacred mountains), which is why many of the ancient Andean cultures settled in this Andean landscape, consequently achieving a high level of knowledge in medicine, pharmacology, and the use of medicinal plants such as the San Pedro cactus, Ayahuasca, Huillca, and others. All of these were practiced by prominent Andean medicine sages, who were responsible for healing people solely with their prayers and potions made from medicinal plants brought from all over the Andes. Currently, the use of many healing plants is regulated by local authorities, who oversee the proper treatment, quantities, and purposes of the plants. Since not everyone is qualified to perform healing with master plants, in Amazonian tribes and Andean communities, only the elders and those chosen by the gods are responsible for performing healing rituals with master plants. Andean Great Treks only works with Andean and Amazonian priests with extensive experience in the use and handling of master plants. Andean Great Treks recommends that you check our calendars in real time for the availability of our tours of the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. That is why it is highly recommended to plan this trip at least 6 months in advance, to avoid any problem or unpleasantness, since there are no last minute purchases, do you know why?
Because once an Inca Trail ticket is booked, it must be paid for by the travel agency that bought it.

And if after or during the purchase process of the Inca Trail the client decides to cancel his ticket, it is non-transferable, and the date of entry cannot be modified either; Certain facilities will only be given when they are problems of force majeure.
